A Little Bit of This and a Whole Lot of That!

So...ever since I started my part-time job working at a pre-school & PDO, I haven't quite been up to my blogging potential. I have a lot of random pics that I wanted to share and so I decided to do it all in one post and get "caught up" for my own sanity!!!

halloween night...
We had a fun Halloween night! This year two of Gav's best friends joined us and I wanted to share some pics with ya!

Early evening before the festivities...Gav, Cass, Tay, Ty and Yogi!

All the cousins at Nona's and PaPaw's!

Picked up Garrett and Jacob and headed to Mer's for some treats!

Next stop...Trunk or Treat at a church near our house.

Cass

We saw Caitlin aka Hannah Montana aka Jacob's sister at the trunk or treats!

Riding in the car headed for Sonic....50 cent corndogs!!

All the money we needed for 12 corndogs!! Boy did we get out cheap!

Happy Corndog Eaters!

Now it's time to Trick or Treat around our neighborhood!

There was a scary house on our block...(Trav was with the kids while I stayed home to hand out treats)...he said that only Gav and Cass would even go into the garage! I was shocked that my kids went in and their friends stayed behind Trav!!!

Back at the house with their loot!

I thought this was clever (and actually kept them from hogging down too), they played poker with their candy!!

1st place champs 3-peat!

Cass' soccer team Superstars had a long and tough season, but we came out on top for the 3rd time! We've actually only been on the team for 2 seasons...we weren't there for the 1st win. We were so grateful to get on such a good team and Cass has found a sport she really likes!

#1! I know it's not always about winning, but sure has been fun! She has met some sweet girls on her team too!

veteran's day...

Cass had a Veteran's Day program at school that was very touching. They had a slide show of special veterans related to some of the students! It was a great way to honor our veterans!!

Singing up a storm!

Cass with her bestie Janae...everyone says they look alike!

I took this pic of Cass because I wanted to show her shirt because it was really cute...and her hair because it is gone now!

new hair!

Crazy pic...I just snapped a shot outside, but it's a short bob with a (small) stack in back! She wanted it! She told me "Mom, it's just hair, it will grow back!" Can't argue with that and that tells me she really wanted her hair cut short!

She loves it!!! She's been smiling all day! I think she feels free!

and lastly...

Mar's mom Michelle took a pic of us waiting outside in the cold for New Moon! Look how happy we were to be finally waiting for New Moon!!!!
HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!!!

I might be too old for this...& Annual PJ party!!!

So my Bestie's mom got all three of us tickets to the midnight premiere of New Moon several months ago! We have been ecstatic to say the least...countdown widgets and everything.

So the time is here... and last Monday we went to Hot Topic in the mall to get our "Team Edward" t-shirts...you gotta represent. At Hot Topic, the guy helping us asked what time we are getting to the movie theater to see New Moon. We said, we know we have to get there a little early. He practically stopped us mid-sentence. Ummm...he said you need to be there by 8:00 p.m. We were shocked...this guy can't know what he is talking about...4 hours early...you've got to be kidding!

So we debated back and forth and decided on going 2 hours early at 10:00 p.m. Well Thursday night arrives and we both get a little ancy and nervous...should we, shouldn't we go earlier? What to do? After some texting back and forth with my bestie that evening, I suggested she just call the movie theater and see what they say...meanwhile I am over at my sister's house enjoying our weekly "Survivor" family get together. Mar calls me back and says....the theater says we better get there as soon as we can...they cannot guarantee us good seats!!!!! Frenzy sets in and I drag my whole fam home a little before 8:00 p.m. so I can put on my Team Edward shirt, freshen up and go! I got there about 8:30 p.m. What I saw really frightened me....jk! I saw a huge line of people wrapped around the theater outside. When we stepped inside the theater, they took our tickets and gave us wristbands...green was our color. We saw people in lines everywhere inside with red or yellow or blue wristbands....you guessed it, green wristbands were waiting OUTSIDE!!! So for the next 3 hours we waited outside in the cold. We call our friend Blythe and she was awesome! She brought by blankets, extra jackets, coffee and hot cider for us!!! It was just what we needed! Trav also came by with scarves, gloves and an extra jacket for me! He also snapped these pics of us outside waiting with what looked like 90% college aged girls! Not too many guys were there!!! Here I am on the phone with Trav as he pulled up!

And here we are "three's company"!

All in all it was a fun night and the movie was awesome! I had a hard time at the end keeping my eyes open...I was so tired! But I can't wait to see the movie again!!!! I am thinking about taking Cass! Go TEAM EDWARD!!!
