Summer Vacay 2011

GALVESTON!
Our summer vacation was at Galveston this year! The closest place to the ocean from L-town! We stopped in Austin on our way to see Granpa Marvin at his place.

The moment we got into Galveston, Trav took the kids to get into the ocean...first timers;)

Trav's aunt and uncle live in Galveston...it was also his cousin Michael's bday, so we all went out to eat to celebrate. They took us to the most happenin'-est place on the island...The Spot!


We sat on the top deck overlooking the ocean...very cool!! Great way to start out our Galveston adventure!

Eating on the beach and feeding the seagulls!! FYI...it's hard to eat lunch on the beach...we were eating another ingredient sand! Hope it's healthy!

We went to the Rainforest there in Galveston, it was really beautiful and really humid!!LOL!

The next day we did some shopping downtown Galveston, that's where the cruise lines also dock.

We also took a ride on the ferry, which took you the other side of the island.

Can't do a full look at our vacation without telling you about Gav's severe sunburn....we actually cut our vacation a little short and took him to the ER in Galveston the day we left...it was so miserable for him...

I stayed back with Gav and told Trav and Cass to go onto the beach one last time...I think they had a blast finding seashells.

It was a fun place and I wish it could have lasted longer!! Thanks for looking at our summer vacation pics!
